The Service Interruption That Never Occurred

This post was originally published on this site

It may seem like an odd thing to report, but on Wednesday January 3rd, White Label Communications DID NOT experience a service interruption EVEN THOUGH a technology failure, the magnitude of which would have resulted in an interruption of service for many UCaaS providers, was encountered.  Specifically, at approximately 5:00 AM, one of our core database servers, located in the Las Vegas data center, experienced an unexpected shutdown.  Again, such an event has the potential to significantly disrupt services.

Why There Was No Service Interruption:

We are pleased to inform you that despite this technology failure, there was no interruption to your services. The key reasons are:

  1. Active/Active Architecture: Unlike a traditional active/standby configuration, which might require manual intervention, our infrastructure is designed with an active/active database architecture. This design is a crucial aspect of our system’s resilience, ensuring that our platform continues to operate seamlessly, even in the event of a partial or multi-server system failure.
  2. Geo-Redundancy and Self-Healing Capabilities: Our platform’s geo-redundancy and self-healing capabilities functioned exactly as intended. These features are critical in maintaining continuous operation and providing you with uninterrupted service.

Our Commitment to our Partners:

This incident highlights the strength and reliability of White Label’s infrastructure. We understand how critical our services are to your business, and we are continually investing in our technology to ensure high availability and reliability.  We appreciate your trust in our services and are committed to delivering the highest standards of service.
