In 1994, Thomas moved to Plano, Texas, where he became an Escalations Manager for GE Techteam. His career advanced to Tier 2 and later to the Call Center Operations Team, where he calculated call center metrics for SBC and Pacific Bell’s DSL Support Project. This experience gave him deep insights into customer relations, support challenges, and large-scale business operations.

Returning home, Thomas held various IT positions before becoming a senior Network Administrator for a major logistics company in South Texas. After being laid off, he seized the opportunity to start Landstar Telecom, which now serves customers across six states, offering MSP and voice services with continuous growth.

As CEO, Thomas has navigated significant challenges, including Covid uncertainties, staff shortages, and regulatory hurdles. His resilience and leadership have driven Landstar Telecom’s success.

Thomas is passionate about sharing his business experiences, both triumphs and pitfalls, with peers. He fosters a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and continuous learning at Landstar Telecom. His mantra to his team: “Encourage one another, own our mistakes, celebrate each other’s success, and know that whatever happens, we are a team.”
